Seed Treatment Policy

Fungicide and insecticide treated seed will be accepted for entry into the MSU Soybean Variety Trials with the following stipulations:

The seed treatment product(s) must be registered in Michigan for the crop that the seed treatment product(s) is applied to.

The seed treatment product(s) must be identified on the Variety Trial entry form and a MSDS for the product(s) is required with submission of the variety entry.

Biological seed treatment product(s) which do not require a label should be noted as having a biological treatment applies.

The seed treatment product(s) will be identified as being used with the particular trial entry in the MSU published yield results

A signature of the company representative will be required to verify that all seed treatment product(s) applied is/are listed.

Biological seed treatment product(s) which do not require a label should be noted (name and treatment applied) on the Variety Trial entry form.

The seed treatment product(s) will be identified as being used with the particular trial entry in the MSU 2008 Michigan Soybean Performance Report.

A signature of the company representative will be required on the Variety Trial entry form to verify that all seed treatment product(s) applied is(are) listed on the form and that no other seed treatment product(s) have been applied.

MSU reserves the right to analyze Variety Trial entries for verification of the seed treatment product(s) used.
