Seed Treatment Policy

Fungicide and insecticide treated seed is accepted for entry into the MSU Corn Hybrid Trials with the following stipulations:

The seed treatment product(s) must be registered for corn in Michigan.
All products must be identified by hybrid on the entry form (please use codes from the Seed Treatment Appendix). A MSDS for the product(s) is required with submission of the hybrid entry. Products used will be listed in the MSU published yield results.

Biological seed treatment product(s) should be noted as biological and the name of the biological treatment should be included on the hybrid entry form.

A signature of the company representative will be required on the hybrid entry form to verify that all seed treatment product(s) applied is (are) listed on the form and that no other seed treatment product(s) have been applied. MSU reserves the right to analyze hybrid entries for verification of the seed treatment product(s) used.

Identifying Specialty Traits
And Transgenic Hybrids

Upon request we will be identifying all hybrid traits in the published results. For ease and space we have implemented a numbering system.

Please use the corresponding numbers from the code appendix (reverse side) to identify hybrid traits. Specific transgenic events will not be identified unless already included as part of the hybrid number. Mark (X) appropriate box if any marketing restrictions apply.
